Overview:
Nestled in the heart of London, Nisbets’ flagship store has stood proudly on Shaftesbury Avenue for nearly 30 years. The brand recently agreed to vacate the property whilst necessary renovations are made to the building. The new unit on Tower St (a stones throw away) provided the Nisbets team with the opportunity to explore a updated retail design concept that could be tried and tested before they return to Shaftesbury Avenue.

The Brief
As a market-leading, household name in commercial catering equipment and supplies, Nisbets required a refreshed store format that both honours its legacy and elevates the in-store customer experience. The relocation presented an opportunity to rethink layout, flow, and engagement, creating a modern retail environment that showcases innovation, value, and expertise, while supporting sales growth and strengthening Nisbets’ presence within the physical retail landscape.
The Concept
To deliver a successful outcome, the brief focused on establishing a clear design framework that balances intuitive customer flow with a contemporary aesthetic, reinforcing and elevating the Nisbets brand. The space was designed to inspire by showcasing the brand’s ongoing commitment to innovation within the catering industry, while prioritising convenience through an accessible store layout and integrated digital touchpoints that enhance the customer journey. Moments of discovery were embedded throughout the environment, creating opportunities to surprise and delight customers with products, solutions, and ideas they may not have anticipated.
